Trust and safety

Practical habits for buying and selling vehicle parts with people you may not know yet. Use this as a checklist before you pay or ship.

Verify fitment before you pay

Ask for casting numbers, photographs of markings, and measurements when buying critical components. Compatibility fields in listings are helpful, but the buyer should confirm against factory service data or a trusted parts specialist.

Prefer traceable payments for strangers

Avoid irreversible transfer methods until you trust the counterparty. If you must use cash, meet in a safe, public location and bring a friend when moving heavy items.

Shipping heavy or fragile parts

Require adequate padding and insurance for glass, trim, and sheet metal. Photograph the package before it leaves your shop; it simplifies claims if a carrier damages the shipment.

Watch for common scams

Be cautious of prices far below market, pressure to move off-platform immediately, and sellers who refuse basic verification questions. Report suspicious listings to us through the contact form so we can investigate.
